opening sequence credits

Our original idea as to how to present the credits in the opening sequence was to make them suit the psychological thriller genre by using newspaper cut outs to create the text. We thought that this sort of typography looked effective and represented our character well, due to the fact that the lettering is very inconsistant and chaotic. This gives the connotation that our character too is troubled and suffers from a mental disorder. To incorporate it into our opening sequence, we attempted to film the credits on a dark background, however this didn't provedto be successful as the lettering didn't look impressive because it was stuck on a white background. Instead, we decided to incorporate the credits into our setting and film them pinned to walls and noticeboards around the office. We initially felt this was a good idea, but when it came to editing we recognised there were issues with continuity and this too was ineffective. We still wanted to maintain the look of the newspaper cut outs, so I used Photoshop to create the credits as graphics. This was easier as we were able to manipulate them to our preferences if they didn't fit well into the sequence.
